In spite of the relatively cold water, the coastal area of the Garden Route is a true paradise for divers. There are a lot of possibilities for wreck diving, and for the more adventurous divers there are several organisations that offer cage diving to view the Great White up close. |

In between Mossel Bay and Plettenberg bay, there are plenty of possibilities for playing golf. In George, 15 km from Wilderness, you will find de four worldfamous golf courses of Fancourt. Their 18-hole Montagu is the No 1 golf course of South Africa. |
To the north of Port Elizabeth lies the 'Shamwari Game Reserve'. This is the only game reserve in the Cape provinces where the so-called 'Big Five' can be spotted. Next to Shamwari you will find the 'Addo Elephant Park', home of one of the densest populations of elephants. Both parks are malaria-free.

A little closer to home, the 'Botlierskop Game Farm' also offers a possibility to view game. They offer guided 4X4 game drives on their large estate. The wild animals are used to this jeep, which makes it possible to come very close to enjoy them. |
